Our foodie founder was fed-up with not being able to find nutritious snacks that actually taste good. He started a quest to find the perfectly nutritious nibble and played around with seasonings. After countless recipe refinements, he created a popcorn that’s lighter than air, packed with fibre, and full of flavour. Mission accomplished. 

He shared the popcorn with friends and family, and even started to sell his creations at local farmers' markets. The flavours quickly gained a following of fellow foodies.

And with that, RARE was born.

We take doing good very seriously. Hand-crafting our popcorn in small batches means we control production carefully to minimise waste. Any unpopped kernels become a crunchy treat for local chickens. 

We also believe in sharing the joy of our popcorn with our local community. That's why we partner with the wonderful One Can Trust, a local charity that provides weekly free food parcels to those facing financial hardship. Any extra packets of our popcorn find their way into these parcels, offering a sweet treat and a moment of happiness for those in need. It's our small way of spreading smiles and supporting an amazing cause in our local area.

There’s a tight-knit small (but growing) team behind your favourite snacks. Our team are our family, so naturally, we ensure everyone is paid a living wage. No, it’s really not. Hand-making our popcorn in small batches makes all the difference. Mass-produced popcorn brands tend to bulk up their popcorn with cheaper oils, which results in a heavier, less nutritious snack. We only use a minimal amount of oil to keep the natural goodness while getting the perfect *pop* - light, flavourful and absolutely delicious.

Popcorn can be a great healthy snack. When it’s prepared properly, popcorn is a wonderful wholegrain packed with fibre, antioxidants, and vitamins. It's naturally low in calories and fat, making it the ideal base healthy snack (that actually tastes delicious). 

We like to keep things transparent. You can know exactly what you’re consuming when you’re munching on RARE. Our product is 100% natural & high in fibre. We also use the lowest oil level possible when popping to make it extra light & fluffy. 

Our entire mission is to prove that ‘healthy’ and ‘tasty’ aren't mutually exclusive, one kernel at a time. There are loads of overlooked health perks of popcorn that we’re keen on making everyone aware of. 

We like to keep the nutrition intact, popping with minimal oil to maintain its natural goodness and optimum crunch.  Our seasonings are carefully selected for their flavour & quality too. 

Yes – our whole range is made using vegan ingredients. 

It’s worth noting that our products are made in an environment which also handles nuts, peanuts, dairy, gluten, and soya. Whilst we have strict allergen controls in place, we cannot guarantee that they are free from traces of these ingredients. Full nutritional information can be found on our product pages.

Our popcorn has a guaranteed four-month shelf life, although it is usually much longer than this. 

We package our popcorn carefully to ensure that it’s crunchy and fresh throughout its life. Once a bag is opened, we recommend you reseal it tightly to retain the crunch as you munch your way through it.

We make our small-batch popcorn in our factory in the heart of the English countryside. We make everything ourselves and by hand so that we can make every batch as fresh and crunchy as possible.

We do our best to make RARE as kind to the planet as possible - and we’re always looking for ways to do better.

Our popcorn is popped using renewable energy, and we pack it in recyclable materials to keep waste to a minimum. Once it’s ready to go, we pop it into cardboard boxes certified by the Forestry Commission, using only vegan, water-based ink.

We also keep our transport routes as direct as possible to cut down on unnecessary food miles. We know there’s always more we can do, so we’re always on the lookout for new ways to be even more sustainable.

We offer standard delivery at £3.99 - or if you buy 2 cases, the delivery is on us. 

If you require speedier delivery, we also offer next day delivery when ordered before 12pm.

Our standard UK delivery time is 3 working days. All orders above £20 will receive free delivery. If you just can't wait to get your mitts on RARE popcorn, we offer next day delivery for £7.00.

Our snacks are the freshest of the fresh. We pop-to-order and dispatch quickly, which means we are sometimes unable to cancel orders. Do keep the product packaging as we will need to know the batch code, best before date, and where it was purchased in order to address the issue effectively. Any images of the product would really help too.

We try our absolute best to make sure that there is no reason to return your popcorn, but if there are any problems with our order or you wish to return items, please contact hello@raresnacks.co.uk. 

If all products are in good condition, we will refund the returned items within 14 days from the return date. All the products must be returned in the same condition they were received in order for us to give a refund. All packs must remain unopened, uneaten and looking as good as you got them. Individual packs cannot be returned on their own.

If there is an issue with your order or packs, please do let us know and we’ll do our best to resolve the problem.
