Starting a Gourmet Revolution
RARE Popcorn all began in the kitchen of our founder - a passionate foodie and full-time snacker.
Frustrated by the lack of truly tasty, healthy snacks, he set out on a mission: to create popcorn that married top-tier taste with uncompromising, gourmet quality.
How it all began
What started as late-night recipe testing turned into an obsession.
Batch after batch, tweak after tweak, we refined the perfect balance of crunch, lightness, and flavour.
The result? RARE Popcorn - a snack that’s lighter than air, full of fibre, and bursting with unforgettable flavour.
RARE was born
At first, RARE was a small-batch secret, shared among friends and family. But word spread quickly. Farmers’ markets and local delis became our testing ground, where we saw firsthand just how much people loved what we were making.
We set our sights sky-high
Then came our first chain listing - at the world-renowned Harrods Food Hall in London. Suddenly, our artisan popcorn was sitting alongside the finest gourmet products in the world - proving that a simple snack, made exceptionally well, could stand among the best.
9 years later, still popping with purpose
Today, RARE has grown far beyond our wildest dreams. We’re proudly stocked in hundreds of locations, from coffee shops and bustling food markets to farm stores, schools, and high-street chains.
But one thing has never changed: our commitment to making snacking special. Every bag of RARE Popcorn is still made in small batches, crafted with only the best ingredients, and packed with flavour & crunch.
